Beyond Behaviour

The Neuroscience of Why Dogs Do What They Do

Beyond Behaviour BSPK8

Looking beyond behaviour to understand the biological mechanisms driving it.

Understanding behaviour is not simply about observing what a dog does. It is about understanding the biological, neurological and physiological processes that drive behaviour in the first place.

This unique programme takes behaviour practitioners beyond traditional training theory and into the fascinating world of canine neuroscience. Combining over 25 years of clinical behavioural experience with current scientific understanding, Jo Croft explores how brain chemistry, hormones, pain, emotional regulation and environmental influences shape behaviour, decision-making and behavioural change.

Through FOUR LIVE INTERACTIVE ZOOM SESSIONS, delegates will challenge conventional thinking, develop a deeper understanding of behavioural presentations and learn to view behaviour through a far broader clinical lens.

This is not a course about teaching dogs.

It is a course about understanding what is happening inside the dog before behaviour ever reaches the surface.

FUSION '27 - When Two Dog Training Pioneers Come Together

The Next Evolution of an Extraordinary Event

The Guild of Dog Trainers (GoDT)
&
Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT)

📍 Royal Kennel Club, Warwickshire
📅 2nd & 3rd April 2027

Following the phenomenal success of our sold out 2026 collaborative event, we are proud to unveil its next evolution:

FUSION ’27

What took place in 2026 exceeded every expectation.

Professionals travelled from across the country to be part of an event that many described as inspiring, refreshing, educational, and unlike anything else currently available within the canine industry.

The atmosphere was electric.

The learning was exceptional.

The conversations were powerful.

New friendships were formed, new ideas were born, and professionals from every corner of the canine world came together with one shared purpose: to learn, connect, and improve the lives of dogs.

The feedback was overwhelming.

The demand for more was impossible to ignore.

Fusion ’27 is our answer.

Born from the success of that landmark event, Fusion ’27 represents everything that made 2026 so special, expanded into an even bigger and more ambitious two day experience.

Bringing together trainers, behaviourists, educators, welfare specialists, rescue professionals, veterinary professionals, and industry leaders, Fusion ’27 is designed to inspire, challenge, educate, and unite.

This is not simply another dog training event.

It is a celebration of collaboration, professional development, innovation, and a shared commitment to canine welfare.
